At that place'southward a small number of images that I want to remove from iStockphoto. I was light-headed uploading them in that location in the first place because these detail images have sold in exhibitions for hundreds of dollars (and one of them won a photography competition also.) Then information technology doesn't seem right selling them on iStock for 20c or 4c or whatever.

Problem is I don't even know how to locate the images. Ever since the ESP website was created, it's all become a confusing mess. So where or how do I offset looking for them? And when I find them, practice I need to quote some image ID number or something when request Getty or whoever to remove them? Not sure most all the fine details of this removal procedure.

Cheers for the link. I'll explain to them that I'll be uploading the images to Alamy as Rights Managed (which is the truth btw.)

Thanks for the link. I'll explain to them that I'll exist uploading the images to Alamy as Rights Managed (which is the truth btw.)

You can only do that if you lot had no royalty free sales while they were on iStock or at other agencies.

Otherwise you'll have to submit as royalty gratis to Alamy

But to quote iStock/Getty

"Starting August 20th (or shortly thereafter), and after Unification, you volition need to submit a request to deactivate a file. Delight annotation that nosotros volition but consider deactivating files for legal or similar justifiable reasons as it provides a negative feel for customers when files are all of a sudden unavailable for license. "

This is the primary reason I stopped uploading to istock.

It's the reason I pulled all my files too. Congrats on those nice images doing so well :)

Yea I remember reading that. Final time I checked, those detail images had non sold in micro stock. Though I'll look again to see if that's still the instance.

Congrats on those prissy images doing so well :)

Thanks! Ane of them in particular did pretty well. It too won 2d Prize in the same exhibition it was sold in which gained me an additional $200. And Ive sold a fair few copies of that image as home-fabricated greeting cards at a market stall. Over a period of time, it sold considerably more than than my other greeting cards did at the market.

I still tin can't work out how to view my port. Ive looked in both the ESP and the iStockphoto websites and at that place's no sign of my photos. Though surely they're there somewhere.

ESP ->account direction ->profile. In that location is a link to your portfolio half way downward the page.
If you want to remove images from your portfolio y'all have to contact iStock/Getty and enquire for specific images to be removed, I had a feeling you need a specific reason, preferably relating to a legal point, to accept them removed.

Surely the best legal point would be that they're your images, you no longer want to sell them at iStock, and equally a resul... you no longer give iStock permission to sell them, or brandish them on their site. Although, I'm guessing in that location's some stipulation in the contributor agreement so they can go around that!

Thanks! One of them in particular did pretty well. It also won Second Prize in the aforementioned exhibition information technology was sold in which gained me an boosted $200. And Ive sold a fair few copies of that image equally dwelling house-made greeting cards at a marketplace stall. Over a menstruation of time, it sold considerably more than my other greeting cards did at the market.

Does the iStock understanding actually allow y'all to sell such products?

John, cheers for the directions. I found my images. My gosh, iStock must be making a killing - I noticed they put a $13 toll tag on each one. I'd probably simply brand virtually 15c or maybe 2c from whatsoever sales.

I'm hoping that me proverb I'm going to set up them every bit RM on Alamy will exist enough to persuade Getty to take them downwards,

SpaceStockFootage, yea I wish that was the case (equally the copyright holder of the image.) Though really, none of u.s. formally agreed to Getty belongings on to our images. We certainly didn't sign anything. It was just a mention of a date that we could remove our images past (which seems like a pretty weak defense from a legal indicate of view.) Then again, I'chiliad no lawyer. Regardless, they probably changed their terms and conditions which about people (including myself) wouldn't bother rereading.

Does the iStock agreement actually allow you to sell such products?

Almost stock agencies state in that location is a 'non-exclusive, earth-wide, royalty-free license' to sell the images through their sites. As long as I don't become sectional, I tin can utilise the photos in any shape or form that I please.

Even exclusives tin sell photos, goods etc, exclusivity but covered RF sales.

Matter is though they are quite within their rights to not sell whatever of anyone's work

That's what he wants though! He wants them to non sell, or offer for sale, whatever of his work.

their terms and conditions which nearly people (including myself) wouldn't bother rereading.

... or reading the starting time fourth dimension. Then spend hours on a third political party forum b!thcing and complaining most it. Unbelievable.

That's what he wants though! He wants them to not sell, or offer for sale, any of his work.

I only requested iStock to delete three of my photos, not all of them. Though I may request some additional deletions in the time to come. Ive also removed the aforementioned images from SS, DT and Adobe.

Getty got back to me and deactivated the three files for me. Soon, I'll be able to upload them to Alamy.

Give thanks you for posting your positive results with Getty/Istock. It certainly puts a damper on all the misinformation and drama regarding Getty/Istock that appears on this forum.
